We have been on this cruise twice, and were off by 9.30 both times.

Hi, We did get off early on this cruise, but on the day before you get off they give the passengers different coloured tags to put on your luggage which go in a certain order for priority off the ship. If your's is lower down in priority, go to the pursers desk and advise them you have an early flight and they will arrange for you to get a "better colour" in turn allowing you to get off the ship faster. Hope this helps.

We got off early from this cruise as we had a flight back to Manchester at about 9.30 am. Because timings were tight we took the option of taking our own luggage off the ship on the morning of disembarkation. There are plenty of taxis at the terminal to take you to the airport (about 20/30 mins)so you should not have any problems. Either do as we did or take the above recommendation and get a 'better colour' disembarkation tag.

A place I have travelled to twice, both on a cruise, and as a holiday destination. It oozes quality, and has amazing weather to boot. But to the immediate North of Dubai, sits Iran, which shares its border...

Her Majesty and I have more in...

I love smaller ships, I don’t need a choice of 14 restaurants, multiple bars and lounges, rock climbing walls and ice-skating rinks, if anything it is too much choice and I find you end up flitting from bar to bar all evening, not settling in one place. Give me a Fred Olsen ship with one bar, one lounge and one theatre and I have all I need thank you very much.A couple of years ago I had the chance to visit the Hebridean Princess, the little ship that has been chartered by her Majesty f...

Silversea was not meant to be!

By Barbara Hopley

Barbara Hopley's blog

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises. We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.I had been looking forward to seeing this ship as have never seen a Silversea ship, it had been booked for a few weeks and I made my arrangements at home ...
