I would be down my travel agents throat until they get it sorted. Remind them that next year they might not have a business unless 'satisfied' customers return through their front door! Good Luck Wilba.

Thank you Wilba for your reply. We have tried everything with the travel agent and P&O and they all keep passing the buck. Very nice of them they did say that even on Freedom dining they would give the party of two a bleeper when there would be a table and our reply was 'you know where to stick your bleeper'. Would never book with P&O again it has been a nightmare from start to finish even with the flight and luggage allowance as well (but that is another issue).

The problem is the time of your booking! I know this is no consolation but P&O made a firm commitment to the thousands of passengers who booked within days of the cruises being available. Club dining is the more popular option and the chances of your friends being able to join you are fairly remote, especially if you have requested and been allocated seats for Second Sitting. When we were on Ventura in August this year very very few requests to change to Club dining were agreed even when people said they would accept First Sitting places (First Sitting was full).

Brits and Tips.

By Sam Smith

We Brits as a nation have always been somewhat uncomfortable with the whole tipping scenario. Ok, in a restaurant environment maybe, but when was the last time you found yourself handing over extra cash to the nice lady on the checkout in Sainsburys or the very nice man who changed your car tyres in Kiwk Fit? Were they not all just doing their jobs, albeit well? This poses the question as to why we have to either pre-pay what can amount to noticeable sums of money when booking a cruise, or hav...

Symphony of the Seasmy trip...

So as I said last time I loved Royal Caribbean’s latest ship Symphony of the Seas.. I wasn’t too sure beforehand if she was going to be just too big, but I can safely say although without doubt a huge ship Symphony doesn’t feel too big once you’re on board. In fact all the different neighbourhood’s and places on board are fantastic, so much choice. I often talk to my customers who are new to cruising and they worry that they will feel enclosed and trapped, with ...

Cruise lines start returning t...

By Richard Smith

Richard Smith's blog

Many cruise lines stopped visiting Turkey itineraries after the military coup attempt in July of 2016 due to security concerns and Turkish calls on cruise itineraries are certainly a lot less common than they used to be.It seems that some cruise companies are now starting to re-introduce some Turkish ports of call with the majority now calling at Ephesus (Kusadasi) after security experts have given the all-clear.There still seems to be a massive drop in Turkish cruise destinations compared to...
