I have heard that when you are on the late sitting they re-heat the same food that was prepared for the first sitting, did any of you experience this.

Good question....We always pick the later sitting when there is one because we find the early too early. Others like to eat earlier and say that the evening is better because of it. You may be able to change before you sail if you wanted to but if this proves to be impossible, don't panic, queue to see the Maitre D' when you get onboard and normally he will effect a change for you along with loads of others. It will probably be the next day before you get a change because the system works better that way. Hope that helps.....Id.

Just had a look at your sailing times on the MSC website, apart from Tunis, they sail at 7pm or later at the rest, so I'd say it would be less of a rush to get ready fro dinner if you were on the second sitting. However if you then want to go to the show, you are not going to get to bed much before midnight 9which personally suits me fine as I don't like to get up early in the morning), However if you are going to be getting up early and getting off the ship at the earliest possible time, you might be happy to head back to the ship well before the final boarding time and have time to get ready for dinner. (You will only have 2 gala/formal dinners in any case, the rest will be informal or casual.

We were on early sitting last year, but wished we were on late. There were many nights when we had to rush back from being ashore or even just enjoying sitting in the jacuzzi watching the sun set. We have booked for late sitting this year.

Staceys Port Guides Monte Carlo

By Stacey Williams

This week I will be talking about the beautiful port of Monte Carlo. i hoped to write about New York but my pictures are taking time to upload so I will do this next week!Monte Carlo is an area of Monaco that some would class as the capital. It is a very small place with a population is around 3500. It is an area situated at the base the Maritime Alps along the French Riviera. I would say that the place is most famous for the Casino and also the Grand Prix. The main districts are all wit...

Celebrity Edge Looks Incredible!

By Freddie Moser

Freddie Moser's blog

So yesterday afternoon I was lucky to attend an online preview of some of the accommodation and facilities aboard Celebrity Cruises most ambitious ship ever built; Celebrity Edge….I’ll be honest when I first heard the name of the ship, I thought it was an awful choice. However it’s since grown on me, and after watching the presentation, I now see the logic in the name Edge. You see this ship is first and foremost all about design and technology, so phrases like ‘Cutting...

Well I have just returned from my first ever visit to a River cruise ship. What a way to start!!! I visited the AmaPrima and Ama are rated the highest standard of ships in Europe according to the Berlitz guide.I flew to Amsterdam and we got picked up by a brand new AMA coach and transferred the short distance to the centre of city to meet the ship, the first eye opener for me was exactly how near to the centre of the town the ship was. If I am being really honest I really didn’t know w...
