Hi getting a balcony makes a cruise if you can run to it. Beware the thetre normally at the front of the ship. so often level 6 is too close and noise can be heard. on ncl beware of the basket ball courts and other top deck noise so in the middle and in the middle is good often quiet deck above and shops below! if you can get near a better class of cabin then the one you are picking do. the better class of cabin gets the best position. look on the ship map and if possible get away from inside cabins. we have cruised on ncl carnival and celbrit.

The freestyle dining has its issues. what we did in the end was to book the formal dining room every night then book the others as and when we felt like it. we tried to release the booking for the formal but they did not have a way to do that. that way we knew we would be able to eat at a good time for the kid.
