The good news is that a cabin designated 'fully restricted view' will not prevent you from sitting on the balcony. However, the bad news is that you will have a lifeboat immediately in front of the balcony obliterating the view. You should able to glimpse the sea below the lifeboat. I assume you are in one of the following cabins 8040, 8042, 8043, 8049? A couple of years ago we were thrilled to find we had been upgraded to a balcony suite, only to discover itwas a 'fully restricted view'. We did still get the sun shining onto the balcony for part of the day. Happy cruising...Jan .

I was in 8049 a fortnight ago. Lovely to have fresh air from a balcony suite even if you have to peer round a lifeboat to see the view... Also a plus from this cabin when at a port using the tenders... the view opens up as your lifeboat is used as a tender. That apart - you do get some sunshine for part of the day too. I was very happy with my cabin.
