Waites - Answered a Question by scott (06 Mar 08 14:50)

I am sure the 14th feb answer will assist. But if you have dificulty in logging on, the short answer is Yes to both enquiries. Dressing gowns and slippers are provided. The former will be changed regularly, if not every day, the latter are usually taken home as a 'souvenier'. A service charge will be added to your onboard spend account on a daily basis, relating to your cabin category. Most people give 'favourites' (cabin Stewards/ table Waiters)a little extra at end of cruise) If you hav'nt been already, enjoy!

Burfoot - Answered a Question by scott (06 Mar 08 16:30)

Hi the earlier answers are not quite correct. as a seasoned qm2 traveller, please let me be of assistance. you will get dressing gown and slippers (the gown is not changed everyday, just at the end of the voyage for new passengers. whatever you do, don't be tempted to steal it as they will add the cost to your final bill, however you may purchase them for $55 each.) You can refrain from tipping (We did as this can add quite a bit to your final bill. in order to do this, once settled into your cabin (and definintly on your first day on aboard) go to the pursers office and ask to be removed from the tips and gratuities programme. we did this with no questions asked and it took less than a minute. we like to tip individual service at the end of the cruise, plus you get charged 3.75% on top of drinks etc anyway. in your state room you will also get towels for use in your cabin and some for taking ashore so you don't need to take any from home, so saving you space in your suitcase for more shopping! too be honest, you will get the same level of service whatever grade you stay in. enjoy your holiday and i hope i have helped.

The latest craze to sweep the airline industry is Emotional Support animals. Have you been on a plane yet with any weird and wonderful creatures.A woman tried (without success) to bring a peacock onto a United flight recently, reportedly claiming that it was an emotional support animal, which would allow the animal to fly for free. Quite Rightly United refused her request. This is becoming so common that airlines have had to introduce rules for which animals can and cannot be taken on-board. ...

Pre Launch 2019/2020

By Emily Watts

Emily Watts's blog

Can you believe it’s that time again? Some haven’t even thought about Summer 2018 let alone Summer 2019 and the cruise lines bring out the itineraries and prices for as late as Winter 2020. As I type 2020 it doesn’t seem five minutes ago we were celebrating the Millennium and scarely that now seems like a distant memory. Where others like and are able to travel on a whim there are families and clients that have different requirements that need and like to book early. E...
