The single traveller is not well catered for simply because there are not huge amounts of them and compared to a couple they are nowhere near as profitable. If there are unused cabins close to sailing time that cabin may be offered for single occupation but will more likely be offered at a reduced price to a couple. Couples onboard spend is normally greater than a single spend. Single cabins are also not profitable because you need about two thirds of a normal cabin space for one single cabin so economically it does not make sense to the bean counters. Having said all that there are occasions when cabins are offered for singles and you have to keep your eye on the screen for when these occur. Sharing is another option if you can contemplate it. .......Neil.
