We have always taken 3 bottles of wine for us in our cabin. Never had any problems. We always take it in carry on luggage.p.s. dont forget corkscrew! Have a wonderful cruise. Dont think there are any restrictions! You can always buy extra ashore.

P&O are one of the few cruise lines that allow you to take your own alcohol on board with you at the moment. That is one of the main reasons that I cruise with them, as I like to have a drink in my cabin whilst I get ready for dinner each evening. I usually take a bottle of Champagne on board with me for the first night also. Please do not abuse this priviledge! If the yob culture starts to creep in with people taking crates of beer onboard with them at every port, P&O will obviously join the majority of lines and ban the bringing of alchohol onboard their ships! I aways buy a bottle of wine in the restaurant each evening, and buy drinks in the show lounges and on deck during the day. My drinks bill usually amounting to about £200 for a two week cruise. So long as you are sensible about it and treat this priviledge with respect, I see no reason why it should not continue. Happy cruising.

It has been over 10 years since I last visited Singapore, but my Mother in Law is a regular visitor. The main reason is to visit her nephew and family, but while they are at work she loves to go off and explore. So, I have done a short interview with Jane, who has also kindly let me share some of her wonderful p...

One of the best things personally at this time of the year is the food and celebrations associated with Christmas and New Year, so this week I have decided to blog about 5 of my favourite places to eat. Some on cruise ships, some not.Fed Olsen Balmoral. I always enjoy the food on Fred`s ships and Balmoral last year was no...

The last two stops on our itinerary were Livorno and Villefranche. As we had pre-booked the Monaco & Monte Carlo excursion for Villefranche, we opted to do our own thing in Livorno and take it easy for the day. After a short coach transfer from the port to the city center we spent most of the day shopping. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and we found them to be very reasonable with plenty of choice. From here we had the option of visiting Pisa or Florence or both if you ...
