Book Early Or Last Minute? Which are you?

Its that time of the year again. This week will see the launch of P&O and Cunard`s 2019 cruise programmes. It hardly seems like a year has gone by since 2018 launch. Some people do wonder if they are actually looking too far ahead as the demand for booking so far in advance seems to be slowing down. Most of us have yet to plan 2018 and many still waiting for that 2017 bargain!

So what is the best time to look at booking your cruise, or any holiday for that matter. There are, though, some really good offers out there at the moment and one of them has even persuaded me to book for next year already.

I can completely understand when clients call in to book but need to sort their pets out first. This has also been a factor in my decision to book early as my beloved Rowan has to be sure that he will have a nice holiday too!

Taking that into consideration I have taken the plunge and booked Celebrity Silhouette for 1st September 2018 going to the Norwegian Fjords for 8 nights. But it wasn`t just the dog that made me book early it was also because I think this is a really good deal.

The September Celebrity Campaign has seen the reintroduction of the All Inclusive drinks package, and the But One get One Half Off deal. Prices do go up and down, as I well know, butt his seems really good. My friend and I have booked a balcony on deck 8 and are already looking forward to the cruise.

One of the things that I really want  do is the Flam Scenic Railway which is a 2 hour journey through the spectacular Norwegian Countryside, and reputedly the most beautiful train journey in the world. Something definitely to book in advance I think.

One thing I am not going to do is to keep checking the price of the cruise in case it has come down! I`m happy with what I have , its booked and now just something to look forward too ! In this instance booking early was , for me, the right thing to do.
