Why should others spoil it for the rest of us ??

Most holidays start with the obligatory photo at the airport with a glass of wine !!
You start to relax and wind down and leave the stress behind.

Well this could soon be a thing of the past studies have shown that on average 62% do the above but this has caused a huge rise in alcohol fuelled trouble makers.

The one thing that my family and I always do is treat ourselves to the airport lounge where your food and drinks are included and you can sit in quiet surroundings and it gets us off to a great start to our holiday. However on my most recent trip away we did have a couple in who it was obviously a novelty to them as every trip to the bar they got louder and louder and the singles turned to doubles. As we left the lounge we heard the staff member calling through to the airline pre warning them !!

There has been 442 arrests in the last 2 years with drunk passengers on planes. A friend of mine has just been on a long haul flight to Florida with free drinks , she couldn’t believe how some parents let the children run wild whilst they made the most of the included drinks !! Jet 2 have just taken the lead in banning any alcoholic drinks on their flights before 8 am in the morning. Wonder how many more will follow suit …
The government are now looking into airport drinking due to recent studies and found that an average person has 5 alcoholic drinks ,28% of passengers admitted to drinking to much before getting on their flight.The fact is most people would never drink so early in the day but blame the stresses of travelling through the uk airports.

I feel for those nervous flyers who have a drink to steady their nerves !
How can the government monitor this and make changes ?

This definitely makes sailing out of Southampton a lot more attractive.
