New year, new baby and January sales!

Its 2018 and time to move on from the year that passed and welcome what might come in the next one.

For me the next month is going to be about a new addition to my family and working through the busiest month in the travel calendar, January!

It interesting that January is the month that everyone traditionally books their holidays,operators bring out great deals this month usually but is it always the cheapest time to book?

I think its certainly reliable, because everyone is doing it you are at least guaranteed that each operator will bring out some deals so they are competing. Can you get good deals at other times of the year? Definitely, I’ve seen some crackers this year with the £379 black Friday deals on Adonia, amazing deals on Majestic Princess, still going  – HERE!!

So January is not the be all and end all in terms of deals but it seems to be the most popular time to book a holiday.

There’s a certain amount of psychology involved in it all, the shops are having sales so it stands to reason there should also be some good travel deals too. Christmas has gone so you’d think everyone’s money would be somewhat depleted but like the high street everyone just seems to want to spend when it hits the 1st January. Maybe its the new year and the new resolutions and plans that come with it or maybe its the cold weather and giving yourself something to look forward to in terms of warmer weather or luxury i the year to come.

Either way I enjoy January and the buzz that comes with it working in travel, I’m expecting the phone lines to be ringing off the hook when I log in tomorrow.
