Talking cruise? We might be the one stop call for all

There are many travel companies out there and, let’s face it, so much choice can make the entire business of booking a cruise just too confusing for many. Add to this, the internet. With its almost limitless options available to find travel resources, why do you need a travel agent at all?

A good question, and one that I myself even wonder about at times.

Well, here’s a couple of reasons that make a great travel agent worth their weight in gold.I have a number of clients booked, during the coming months, cruising through the Strait Of Hormuz. Clearly, with the current climate of uncertainty in that region, one of my valued clients called me to check what might happen in the event of an escalation of issues affecting that area. I had already pre-empted the question from the client and had answers awaiting, even before the questions had been asked. A great travel agent behaves like that, and is not simply an order taker. After all, anyone can book a cruise. It’s not rocket science but, then booking the right cruise for any particular person is not anything like as easy as one might imagine.

Another scenario is that some people believe they can do it just as easily as a travel agent. Well that’s not quite true.At www.Cruise.co.uk, we put together some of the most amazing “packages” and the total price we sell these for, is often substantially below the cost that our DIYers could get. We get special rates on cruises, flights, hotels, land packages, transfers, shore excursions and more. These rates will never be available to the general public.

What’s more, a great travel agent can be relied on to share their years of expertise and experiences.

So, when you think cruise in future, think “I need a cruise specialist who knows their stuff”. It might even be the first time you have ever been cruising so, all the more reason to make absolutely sure that you get it right. Now, let me tell you truthfully…     there’s a ship to suit absolutely everyone whatever you may have been told elsewhere. The trick though is to know which ship, which cruise line, which itinerary, which cruise style, and a lot more too, is going to suit you and probably a lot more needs to be known before you can get it right.

So, you have some choices. As mentioned above, you can be very brave and do all your own homework. Maybe ask some friends you know who cruise. Get family suggestions. Speak to lots of high street agents with young counter clerks who sincerely believe that every cruise is just great because they are all luxury holidays and there really is no difference between the hundreds and hundreds of ships on offer.

Or, take my advice. The choice is yours.WDF.FredOlsenBlackWatchHigh street agents are more than likely to tell you what you want to hear and that might suit you. No real knowledge here. They might even offer discounts without the slightest calculation as to whether what they are offering is even affordable. You might say that if they lose money then that’s their problem, but I am sure you would rather get a great “value for money” cruise holiday whilst at the same time, the agent is happy with what he has booked for you. A win win result.

I have many years of expertise in this business and, even if I say so myself, I do understand this business better than most.fjord.12I tell it like it is. If what you are asking for is not what I would recommend then I will tell you, although the final choice is yours.

Can you honestly say that your agent is like this?
