Welcome home Independence!

This has been an exciting week in the cruising world with one of the UK best-loved ships returning to our waters after under going a amazing make-over ready for her summer season in Europe.

Royal Caribbean Independence of the sea has started the season with a number of mini cruise breaks this week showcasing her new features including resturants, bars, virtual reality trampolines, a kids’ water park, an escape room, laser tag and shows.

SOOOOOOO WHATS NEW…….

SKYPAD – Imagine a mix of trampolining and bungee jumping with some virtual reality thrown in for good measure. Up on top deck with sea around you to either bouncing about on one of 3 areas or test your VR skills at either a  candy crush-style game, a pop video or a battle with aliens.

PUZZLEBREAK/ESCAPE ROOM – Replacing the wedding chapel on deck 15 this mystery room allows parties of 6 for a charge of $20 to solve problems, use a number of cryptic clues and games to escape.

PLAYMAKERS SPORTS BAR –  Amazing venue for all sports lovers with 35 screens showing major events from around the world offering a variety of beers, wine cocktails and bar snack. This has proved a popular location since debuting on Symthony of the seas.

SPLASHAWAY BAY/ PERFECT STORM –  For all those waterbabies out there this area is going to be a major highlight for this ship. Filled with Watercannon, slides and bucket fillers top deck is going to be a popular area this summer

PANORAMIC OCEANVIEW CABINS – Along with the refurb New Panoramic Ocean View cabins will feature a great size cabin with wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows.

STUDIO B – Brand new glow in the dark laser tag challenge will im sure be a big hit with the big kids team up and let the battle begin.

I think it is safe to say this new mutli milllion dollar reburb has resulted in a ultimate family paradise I know my kids would love this ship and I will look forward to hearing what my customers have to say over the coming weeks. Independence will now spend the season cruising to Fjords, Med and canaries until October. I hope all those on board have a fantastic summer making the most of all these new features.
