First stop Universal (via New York)

I am back from a amazing 3 weeks in Orlando, and made it just in time before Dorian caused havoc . We had a great holiday and lived the Orlando life to the very fullest, experiencing everything it had to offer.

Our fun filled holiday was no way near a relaxing beach break. We spent everyone of our 21 days/nights at our favorite Parks in Orlando  with thrilling rides, watching fantastic show, firework displays and simply living the American dream. We even managed a unplanned rouge day in the big apple after our outbound flights we effected by a Storm and we were grounded in New York for 48 hours, but that’s a different story.

The first week of our trip we spent enjoying all that is Universal Studios. Over the last couple of years since our last trip there have been a number of new attractions including new rides, restaurants and  Volcano bay their brand new water park. Plus for us a slightly taller youngest daughter which for us meant no one got left behind and we could experience absolutely everything.

Here are just a couple of our high lights from our first week in Orlando

Universal hotel Cabana Bay resort

This was our first stop for the trip and our first time at this Retro themed hotel. We loved everything about this hotel from the quirky theming the huge family rooms that allowed us to spread out with great amenities. Guest that stay at this hotel benefit from early access to all three parks plus a designated entrance to Volcano Bay.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium

Last time we came to Orlando in 2016 Toothsome Emporium opened just days after we left, so we knew we had to visit this year and it did not disappoint, their milkshake were amazing .

Most will think on arrival that this is just a milkshake venue however their sit down menu was outstanding. Offering a classic steak and seafood cuisine topped off with eye boggling desserts.

Volcano Bay

We loved the Brand New Volcano bay after hearing some horror stories about the Tapu Tapu virtual queuing system we were not sure what to expect however along with our early access this was fantastic and worked perfectly, allowing us to make the most of our time in the lush water park whilst still experience the top attractions.

And lastly our little leg

After many trips to Orlando our youngest daughter found her inner thrill seeker and was finally able to join her sisters on all the big rides, the only problem was this took away my excuse now not to go on them lol.

Here she is on her favourite ride and voted the scariest ride in Orlando “THE HULK” absolutely love it!!!

Join me next time so for more about our trip and why Disney World is our happiest place on earth.

Until Next time

Marie
