My recent land based holiday

I have recently just came back from a lovely seven night holiday to Turkey. It has been a good six years or so since the last time i went to Turkey and i really enjoyed it both times, the first time i went we stayed in a place called Kusadasi and this time we went to Lara Beach.

The resort of Lara beach is mostly hotel based, with a lot of big hotels along the sea front that are mostly all inclusive,  there is a few shops and restaurants around that you can have a little wander to, but most hotel’s have really good facilities where you do not need to leave the hotel if you didn’t want to.

I traveled with my partner and our daughter Lucie who is now three and two of our friends, we stayed in the Titanic beach hotel, which yes is built in the shape of a ship and is cruise ship themed! It was a lovely hotel and the furnishings were beautiful, it really did have the wow factor. It had a really nice pool area and was right on the beach front. The food was pretty good with plenty of choice and a few a la carte’s you could use for a small charge.

The hotel has good facilities for both families and couples, with a children’s pool with pirate ship and slides, a quieter pool and also an Olympic size lane swimming pool. There was a children’s club and park, a very nice spa area, bowling alley and evening entertainment on every night which included dance shows, bingo, white party and live bands.

All in all we had a very good time and the weather was lovely, we only went for one week though so it did seem to go over very quick! I will now be looking at our next holiday, however not certain where we will go or if we may do a cruise this time, there is so much choice.
