Summer Holiday time is almost here

So I am now just 1 week away from my annual summer holiday, and like every summer it is off th the beautiful Devon town of Dawlish.

My nan lives there and over recent years a few of my aunties have moved into that area so going to see the black swans of Dawlish, the iconic rail route of the coastline and the long beautiful beaches is a no brainer when I get to see my relatives too.

I have been going there for the last 6 years, albeit 2 years ago when we wnt to Majorca, now with Majorca, as amazing as it was it cost 4 times as much money as going to our regular Devon holiday park, equipped with parks, football pitches, shops, take-aways, the site club and a lovely swimming pool. We’ve decided to keep to the UK in the summer and our long haul holidays in the winter, we get more for our money that way.

So last week the weather was crazy hot, this week it is pouring, hopefully next week the rain has gone, if you have ever been to Devon you will know in the summer on a summers day it is as good and beautiful as anywhere else in the world, well in Europe anyway.

Have you been to the Dawlish area? I have visited so many lovely places in my time going down there but if you have any recommendations for a day out please let me know.

My tick list so far for places we have done are

Buckfastleigh and the Abbey

Becky Falls

Torquay

Paignton Zoo

Brixham

Dartmoor and the ponies.

Pennywell Farm

Powderham Castle
