How to get a little extra when booking your next cruise.

Are you one of these passengers that sees the ships ‘On Board booking shop’ and take a wide berth? If so then you need to stop.

The on board booking teams on the cruise line are not your Tenerife Time Share Sharks. You are not locked in a room and refused freedom until you have booked something. The atmosphere and service in these rooms are very very good and so is the benefits of booking your next cruise whilst on a current cruise.

With the exception of Thomson (now Marella) all the cruise lines offer the facility to book your next cruise whilst on board. So that means you can book whilst on board any P&O, Princess, Cunard, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC the list is endless.

So what are the benefits to booking on board? Well, the cruise lines will often throw some extras at you if you do book a future cruise whilst on board. This mostly comes in the form of a bonus onboard credit. I often have customers email me from onboard the ship asking for prices on certain cruises, but did you know, all you need to do is tell them you would like the booking passed back to your original agent and they will send it straight over to us.

This basically means you get to take advantage of any extras they are offering to book onboard plus the extras/savings we give too, meaning double benefits for you. I’ve had an increased number of people booking on board in recent times and I can only put it down to the fact we all love anything that is free!
If you are not ready to book your next cruise then some of the cruise lines offer a future cruise deposit.

These are great as it means you get the extra onboard credit, but without having to commit to a certain cruise, you pay the cruise line £50pp and they reward you with $75pp onboard credit on your next booking with them, and the £50 acts as your deposit. WIN WIN!!

So next time you are onboard, cocktail in hand and fancy planning your next trip, pop in!!
