Cruise Ship Set To Break Guinness World Record

Viking Ocean Cruises are set, to set a new Guinness Record this weekend as the Viking Sun Cruise ship was docked on the River Thames in Greenwich with the stunning London Skyline in the distance.

She will span across six continents, taking in 111 ports over 51 different countries.

This Ultimate World Cruise will take 8 months and set the record for the longest continuous passenger cruise, not to bad to avoid the UK Winter Blues in faraway shores is it? But is 8 months away just a tad to long?

Prices for this Bucket List World cruise starts from £66,900 pp which is about £270.00pp per night but when you consider that includes everything you would expect from a Luxury Cruise its not to badly priced.

For those wanting to go that little bit further you could be expected to pay up to £194,000 for the top suites.

The 240 night world cruise is extensive, when you compare against some of the other cruise lines ranging between 99 to 125 nights.

On Leaving London, Viking Sun will travel up the West Coast of the UK, and across to Norway before continuing up to Greenland and across East Coast of America, she will then span down and around South America and up the West Coast before crossing the South Pacific and in to New Zealand and Australia.

Then guests will be treated to an Insight of the Far East and India before going up to the Middle East and onwards through the Suez Canal. Back home will be via the Eastern and Western Med.

Prices are not the only thing that seems over the top! Whilst away they are expecting 40,000 room service meals, 250,000 bottles of water, 10,000 bottles of Bubbles, 90,000 boutique Wines, 60,000 meals to be served, 900,000 eggs and the list goes on.

So is this one you’d like to go on? It would be hard being away from home for that long but hey I am willing to give it a go!
