2021 and 2022 is here!

This time of year there is so much going on and to look forward too, Coming in to October I always think the Summer is over and to get ready for the Winter Months, and of course the Big C word is just around the corner, that’s right Christmas is on the way!

Traditionally cruise lines always used to Launch in March and all roughly at the same time but over the years things have slowly changed. So how is it working this year?

Well Cunard have launched there Summer and part of the Winter Program for 2021 leading right up to the gap of the 2022 World Cruises which I would expect to see very soon and this leads us nicely into the launch of their new ship which is due out in 2022. No more details have been released as of yet but I’d expect again to start seeing bits and pieces fall into place over the next year. This is so exciting for Cunard as it is there first new ship ship the Queen Elizabeth back in 2010 and even then she was a sister to the Queen Victoria so we knew what what coming. The new Cunard ship will be bigger although rumor has it she will be very similar to the Koningsdam and I for one cannot wait as a big Cunard Fan.

Next to look forward to is the launch of P&O cruises which will see sailings on sale from March 2021 through to April 2022 and I for one am really looking forward to seeing what they do with the Iona throughout the Winter of 2021/2022 – will she go to the Caribbean, Will P&O return to Dubia – no one knows what they will do but again rumor has it there are some changes on the horizon so again all very exciting, and not only that Iona 2, if P&O decide to proceed with her is due in 2022 too but we may have to wait for the Summer 2022 to see what she does. We will be able to see the new collection from the 14th October and this goes on sale for Caribbean, Baltic and Ligurian tiers of the Peninsular club on the 21st October.

Unfortunately for the lower tiers it is a bit of a wait, so sailings between March and June 2021 will be out on the 23rd October, then the 24th October for July through to October 2021 and then the 25th October for sailings from October 2021 to April 2022.

This then follows as Celebrity as supposedly launching there 2021 Summer program in November but no news as of yet on Royal Caribbean.

What are your plans for the years to come?
