Help needed with names!

It’s just over four weeks until my last day (I have holiday to use before my maternity leave officially starts) and we still haven’t decided on any names. Due date is the end of August (the day after my birthday!) Although with Aimee I went into labour on the due date and both boys were a couple of days after their due date.

So far we have Aimee (born 2007), Rafe (born 2011) and Phoenix (born 2018).

We don’t know if we’re having a boy or a girl this time so need two lists.  It seems to be easier to think of girls names than boys.

So here we are, asking for suggestions.

Aimee’s name was chosen because before I knew I was pregnant, I had a dream.  In the dream I’d had a little girl and she was wearing a t-shirt that said ‘Aimee’ on it. The next day I found out I was pregnant and a few days later that it was a girl! (I was 30 weeks gone when we found out I was pregnant but that’s a-whooooole-nother story).  Anyway, the name stuck!

Both Rafe’s and Phoenix’s names were chosen because they’re a bit different. They certainly won’t have another 5 children in their class with the same name.

I also quite like some traditional names like Henry, Harry etc but they have also become really popular and we don’t want something really popular.

Why is it so hard?! We’ve looked at apps and websites but again, they tend to list all of the most popular names 🙁

What unusual names do you like for both boys and girls? Let me know! We’re running out of time!

Feel free to leave comments with your suggestions – we will read them all! And we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any news.
