The New carnival Mardi Gras

The new carnival ship that they are launching in 2020 looks to be superb with lots of innovations and surprises. The first one is a new themed street food that they are going to have on the Lido deck that looks a bit like an open air food court.

Small plates such as empanadas or falafel will be available at the fried station; bao buns or siu mai at the steam outlet; and kebabs or satay at the plancha venue. Carnival though not revealed yet if it’s complementary or if a cover charge will apply. There is also a two level RedFrog Tiki Bar that guests can enjoy mainly Rum based cocktails in a South pacific theme together with hand crafted burgers. There going to be another gathering place called the Watering Hole and you can grab some draft beer or a cocktail or two. Another dining venue called the Big Chicken Restaurant which is created by  Shaquille O’Neal which is already a popular venue on land in Las Vegas. Mexican-themed eatery BlueIguana Cantina

New England-inspired Seafood Shack

Guy’s Burger Joint developed by Food Network personality Guy Fieri

Mid-ship Beach Pool and an infinity Aft Tides Pool with a bar, ample seating and sweeping ocean views

There will be a seaside Theatre where you can enjoy such as legendary deck parties and Dive-in Movies

There will be a sport bar with indoor and outdoor television screens.

The ship will look fantastic and I’m hoping I will get to go on it in the near future.

Mardi Gras is currently under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, arriving in Europe on 31^st August 2020, before repositioning to New York for a series of voyages.
