Fancy a Transatlantic Cruise?

I was fortunate enough to go on a Transatlantic cruise more than once and I quiet like them to be honest and that’s for a number of reasons, firstly you don’t get off the ship (unless you want to swim of course) so you have a lot more time to explore the ship, enjoy the facilities, dining and activities on board. There is no need to rush anywhere, just relax, enjoy and take it easy. Then you have the free added time, so you get more for your money… If you are sailing westbound you will have an extra hour nearly each night of the cruise, and the cruise line will inform you of this by putting a card on your pillow every evening.

Then you have the “destination” to look forward to, of course if you are sailing to New York it’s the most amazing scenery as the ship approaches Manhattan and everyone on board rushes outside to take shots of the skyline views. It’s not the same when you approach Southampton but then at least you are then looking forward to get back home.

You can say that there is not a lot to do when you are on board but I disagree as there’s lots to do as long as you take it easy and in slow pace. Some may say also that the sea can be choppy and again I disagree as those big ships can cope with it, I know it as I sailed the Atlantic before in October, November and even December and it wasn’t bad at all.

The prices are heavily reduced and they even started selling them with a drinks package included! – see Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.

I think you need to try for yourself and see if this type of cruise suits you . What do you think?
