Your Itinerary

  •

    06 Jul 20

    Fly UK to Verona

Upon arrival, transfer to your Lake Garda hotel for a 3-night stay.

  • 07 Jul 20

    Lake Garda at Leisure

Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. Its wider part to the south is surrounded by hills that were left following the glacier recession, while the narrow northern part is enclosed by the mountains that create its fjord-shaped configuration and provide a very mild Mediterranean climate. The vegetation is mainly olive and lemon groves, palms and orange trees.

  • 08 Jul 20

Included: Cavalleria Rusticana at the Verona Opera

Cavalleria rusticana is an opera in one act by Pietro Mascagni to an Italian libretto by Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti and Guido Menasci, adapted from an 1880 short story of the same name and subsequent play by Giovanni Verga.

  • 09 Jul 20

    Lake Garda to Venice

Transfer to your central Venice hotel for a 2-night stay.

  • 10 Jul 20

    Venice at Leisure

There’s simply no place like Venice: a city built on water incorporating no roads and home to over 250,000 citizens, despite its small size. Its compact, to say the least, narrow alleys leading to endless culinary treasures and the occasional tourist hotspot: St Mark’s Campanile or the Rialto Bridge, for instance. The magic of Venice’s streets is unmatchable, but a visit wouldn’t be complete without a relaxing gondola ride on the Grand Canal.

  • 11 Jul 20

    Embark Rhapsody of the Seas

Transfer to the port and embark Rhapsody of the Seas for your 6-night full-board cruise.

  • 12 Jul 20

    Split, Croatia

Split is the second largest city in Croatia. Split is a relatively easy city to get around for sightseeing, as many of the top sights are within easy walking distance of each other. This lively city is definitely worth a visit.

  • 13 Jul 20

    At Sea.

  • 14 Jul 20

    Athens (Piraeus), Greece

The unique amalgamation of historic landmarks, such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, with modern stylish restaurants and artsy-industrial neighbourhoods serve as an architectural celebration of the city’s different eras.

  • 15 Jul 20

    Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

Katakolon port lies on the Greek coast and serves as the gateway to Olympia, the ancient site where the Olympics were originally staged.

Highlights

  • Athens

    Athens

The 2004 Olympics served as a platform for Greece to demonstrate how far Athens has come in recent years. The unique amalgamation of historic landmarks, such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, with modern stylish restaurants and artsy-industrial neighbourhoods serve as an architectural celebration of the city’s different eras.

  • Lake Garda

Writers have sung Lake Garda's praises over the centuries. “The lake lies dim and milky,” DH Lawrence wrote, “the mountains are dark blue… the sky glistens… the light burns gold.” As you walk along the lake, it changes character, with Mediterranean-like settings of open-air cafes, pebbles beaches and quaint harbours, a contrasting landscape as fir and pine trees tumble down to olive and lemon groves.

  • Venice, Italy

There’s simply no place like Venice: a city built on water incorporating no roads and home to over 250,000 citizens, despite its small size. Its compact, to say the least, narrow alleys leading to endless culinary treasures and the occasional tourist hotspot: St Mark’s Campanile or the Rialto Bridge, for instance. The magic of Venice’s streets is unmatchable, but a visit wouldn’t be complete without a relaxing gondola ride on the Grand Canal.

An Impressive Week Onboard CMV Magellan!

By Caroline Kyle

Last week I returned from a fabulous week on board Cruise & Maritimes ship Magellan having sailed on their Scottish Isles & Faroes cruise, and to say I was impressed would be an understatement!I’ve sailed with CMV once before for our Christmas conference cruise to Dublin onboard Marco Polo last year. I enjoyed the trip but I don’t think you always get the right impression of a cruise line on a mini cruise as I wasn’t overly impressed. However, all that changed as soo...

Renee Gagen's blog

It’s that time of year when everyone is looking for their annual holiday, the kids break up from school in a week and we all want to go away on holiday for some relaxing and family time. When we start to look at holidays for ourself’s we always want a good deal I know I do, but what many people don’t realise is that cruise lines aren’t like this. Time For A Little Bit Of Luxury

By Camilla Edwards

Camilla Edwards's blog

Luxury cruise lines are not new, nor usually what you would call a bargain, but some of the offers that around at the minute are really good. Take a look at this on the lovely Oceania Marina – Wine, Art & Aristocrats. Sailing on 13th May 2020 from Barcelona to Southampton is is not only a good deal but perfect if you don`t want long flights but do fancy trying a Six Star cruise line.Marina is a small ship but very lovely – this is how Oceania describe her – “Marin...
