    On arrival into Beijing, China’s historical capital, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel for a three-night stay.

    The remainder of the day is at leisure to start soaking up the local culture.

    Beijing

    Head out of Beijing to the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall of China, arguably the most famous sights in China.

    Once your group has been given a brief introduction to the Great Wall’s unique history, you will have free time to walk on this incredible structure and appreciate both the wall itself and the magnificent scenery that it crosses.

    Later, visit a Jade Factory to learn about one of China’s most symbolic and important materials before returning to your hotel.

    The remainder of the day is at leisure.

    Beijing

    This morning, soak up the harmonious ambience of the Temple of Heaven, an orderly oasis in a bustling urban landscape.

    Next, head to Beijing’s symbolic heart and stroll through Tiananmen Square and into the magnificent Forbidden City.

    Entering through the Gate of Supreme Harmony you will find a complex full of imperial riches. Later today, return to your hotel for time at leisure.

    After breakfast this morning, transfer to the Train Station for your bullet train transfer to Xian.

    Once you arrive in Xian, the ancient capital of China, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay.

    Xian

    This morning, visit the Terracotta Warriors, built to protect Emperor Qin in the afterlife. Within the museum area the warriors can be seen in three different ‘pits’, which are archaeological digs.

    Afterwards, visit the Xian Arts and Ceramic Exhibition Centre to see smaller models of the warriors being made.

    After breakfast this morning, transfer to the Airport and fly from Xian to Shanghai.
