Highlights

  • Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Bora Bora is a small island paradise, south of Tahiti in the French Polynesian islands. At the center of the island is Mt Otemanu, a 727 meter tall dormant volcano. Surrounded by small islets atop a beautiful clear water lagoon set amongst the coral reef, Bora Bora is a true natural paradise. Snorkel or scuba dive amongst the coral and the tropical fish, climb the magnificent Mt Otemanu, or simply kick back and relax as a couple in the romantic haven.

  • Beautiful above and underwater landscape of a tropical resort

    Huahine (French Polynesia)

The two islands of Huahine, Huahine Nui and Huahine Iti (Big Island and Little Island), are surrounded by a deep lagoon encircled by a coral necklace. Connected by a bridge, both islands boast white-sand beaches, vanilla plantations, friendly and easy-going islanders, and some of Polynesia's most significant cultural sites.

  • Los Angeles

LA’s influence on modern pop-culture cannot be overstated: she has given us Quentin Tarantino, Jim Morrison, Serena Williams, and endless other famous faces, whilst also spawning gangster rap and skateboarding. In the midst of exploring its malls and celebrity hotspots, make sure to spare some time for its palm-tree coated beaches and deep blue waves.

  • Moorea

The south Pacific’s fantasy island, is simply a paradise equal to that of your greatest dreams and wildest imaginations. The island is a heart shaped haven and is set amongst the world’s largest coral reef ecosystem acting as the perfect destination for a spot of diving or snorkelling. Mo'orea houses seaside bungalows perched on stilts typical of the French Polynesian islands a perfect retreat to cleanse the soul, overlooking the coral network and the South Pacific.

  • Raiatea (French Polynesia)

For the Polynesian "Maohi," ancestor of today's Tahitian, Raiatea was known as "Sacred Havai'i" and was the center of royalty, religion, culture and history. Ra'iatea, is the second largest of the Society Islands, after Tahiti, in French Polynesia. The island is widely regarded as the 'centre' of the eastern islands in ancient Polynesia and it is likely that the organised migrations to Hawai'i, New Zealand and other parts of East Polynesia started at Ra'iatea.

  • Tahiti

Tahiti is the largest island in French Polynesia, the South Pacific archipelago. Shaped like a figure-8, it's divided into Tahiti Nui (the larger, western section) and Tahiti Iti (the eastern peninsula). With black-sand beaches, lagoons, waterfalls and 2 extinct volcanoes, it's a popular vacation destination. Explored by Captain James Cook in the 18th century, it was also often painted by French artist Paul Gauguin.

By Hannah Wilson

This summer I was lucky enough to have a family holiday in France and with a 13 year son who is enjoying history and the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings we decided to tag on a couple of nights in Normandy and explore the D-Day beaches area.It was amazing. We stayed on Juno beach towards Caen ferry port but the area is 1.5 to 2 hours south east of Cherbourg and we saw plenty of cruise excursion coaches. It is easily do-able in a day trip.We started our by heading to Arronmanches, a frie...
