Highlights

  • Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Its history tracing back to approximately 3000 B.C, Abu Dhabi has held closer to its Arabic roots than Dubai. It still has its fair share of modern marvels, from skyscraper observation decks to water parks, but the city’s soul is still elegantly grounded in tradition, as it proudly boasts beautiful mosques and palaces.

  • Dubai

Home to over seventy shopping malls and a euphoric blend of ultra-modern design with old-world architecture, Dubai is often perceived as a place exclusively for the wealthy. Yet local government have done much to brush off this image and it is now welcoming of all people: there truly hasn’t been a better time to see Dubai’s wonderful fountains and travel up Burj Khalifa (world’s tallest tower).

Not your typical Cruise Port

By Danielle Meenan

When we think about cruise ports we normally imagine busy Italian cities, relaxing Caribbean shores or beautiful Fjords. What we do not think about is desert sands, ritz and glamour of the worlds top performers and the ding ding of casino machines! Know where I am talking about yet???So many of us are so impatient to get on board cruise ships now that we sometimes ignore how fun the journey to the port could be. Travelling from the UK to the many ports in the West of America is a long journey...

Living on the Edge!

By Anne Eaves

Anne Eaves's blog

I have just returned from a week Caribbean Cruise on Celebritys newest ship EDGE. After spending 3 nights in Fort Lauderdale ( more about that in my next blog) we joined the ship on Sunday 7th April in Fort Lauderdale. After taking the shuttle transfer from the hotel to the port, we arrived around 11.45, and we were onboard in around 15-20 minutes. The ship was berthed at the new terminal in Fort Lauderdale and embarkation was really slick. The porters took our luggage from us and then once ...
