    Buenos Aires, Argentina

It’s easy to see how Buenos Aires created the tango, both of them being highly captivating and seductive. Highlights

  • Christ the Redeemer

Meet one of the most representative icons of Rio de Janeiro, Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer). Enjoy this spectacular view from the top to take stunning photographs from the top of Corcovado Mountain.

  • Iguazu Falls

After pick up from your hotel, we head for Iguazu Falls, located 30 km from Foz do Iguacu and 24 km from Iguazu Port. Firstly, you will be escorted to the Visitor's Centre in the National Park, from here you will board a gas-propelled train which will take you to the footbridges and paths which make up the 'Upper Circuit' of the Falls. From here there is a walk of around one hour to the lower circuit, this visit will last approximately one and half hours. Returning to the upper circuit, we board the train at the main station or at the Cataratas station from where another train departs for 'Devil's Throat'. If you prefer, you may also take the 1 Km 'Green Footpath' and proceed to 'Devil's Throat' by foot. Once you are at the end of the footpath you will be surprised by the strategic lookout point resting on the side of the Devil's Throat.

  • Montevideo, Uruguay

The relatively small capital is the nation’s only major city, yet visitors do not come here in search of the hustle and bustle of a large metropolis. It is said that Montevideans themselves travel to Buenos Aires and São Paulo when they crave big city excitement. As Uruguay’s cultural, political and economic center, the city boasts a good number of monuments, museums and impressive architecture.

  • Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The scale of Rio de Janeiro cannot be emphasised enough. From ecstatic views atop Corcovado peak and Christ the Redeemer down to its sea of endlessly unique markets, one struggles to find fault with this perfect captivation of Brazilian culture. Famed for its often-spiritual bond with music, this is the only place where samba rhythm can truly be experienced

  • Ushuaia, Argentina

Ushuaia is the capital of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. The town itself has an interesting museum and a variety of shops selling everything from souvenirs to duty-free luxury items.

New Zealand a beautiful country

By Jo Cunningham

A few years ago I was lucky enough to tour around New Zealand courtesy of APT and had the most amazing time. I have raved about the country ever since, so much so, that my parents have decided to cruise around New Zealand to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. They are currently sailing on the Celebrity Solstice around New Zealand and Australia and are having a wonderful time, sending me photos from the places they are visiting.A cruise around New Zealand takes in some amazing places....

A few extras to factor in when...

By Harry OHara

Harry OHara's blog

Admit it we have all done it. Sometimes we see a cruise deal on a website or in an advert in the paper or that someone has shared on social media and you think wow that’s really good. You look at it and think I wouldn’t mind doing that so you show it to your partner and maybe some friends and say what do you think and then you pick up the phone or email for more details.I’ll admit I did this when I booked my cruise for the Explorer of the Seas which I go on next week. A good...
