My Wedding

For those who didn’t know I got married recently. Having been with my Girlfriend now for 8 years and engaged for 3 years we finally tied the knot at the beautiful resort of Paradise Cove in Orlando. Sarah says that I had been dragging my heels and that 3 years was far too long to be engaged. I think she was just being inpatient. I, however think it worked out just right as there was a lot of planning to arrange and when getting Married overseas it can be quite stressful when your Wedding planner is 4,000 miles away. This had been 3 years in the making. A lot of hard work from everyone involved to make our day perfect. We like to think that we have done this in true style. From start to finish. If you’re going to do it then do it right, right?

We flew Business class with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester to Orlando. Not all of us just us two. We’d between us rented an amazing 12 Bedroom Villa. Yes, 12 Bedrooms all en-suite and with a 60ft pool and not to mention the 24 seater home cinema to name a few of the features. This mansion was just unbelievable. We had Limo’s to pick us up and take us to the venue and bring us home again. A speed boat entrance for myself and the rest of the Groomsmen.

Our venue was beautifully decorated, the drapes and lights were just perfect. All the centre pieces and vases on the tables again just beautiful and not to mention how we had decorated the arch for the ceremony and all the chairs for our guests. Sarah has to take the credit for this as she has good visual merchandising skills and this is exactly how she visualised it to be with everything from the colour scheme to all the additional extras around the venue. Theses were just a few of the things that really set the venue off.

We did really well to have 30 guests at our wedding. That doesn’t sound a lot but when you think they all travelled from the U.K to Florida just to attend it was we thought an impressive number. It was nice as the party size wasn’t too big and being smaller felt much more personal and we had our closest friends and family attend.

These were just a few selected photos. Next time I’ll be showing you some more of the Villa, the Limo’s, Speed boat entrance etc.

We had an amazing time and I hope you all enjoy the photos from our big day.
