All ages have the chance to splash and play in the ship’s assortment of swimming pools and watery recreation areas, including options for both adults and children. Water slides, fountains and hot tubs round out these outdoor amenities, along with a high proportion of sun beds on the spacious decks. Indoors, you’ll find a brightly decorated, airy interior lobby for mixing and mingling. This includes 13 bars and lounges, including a 1960s-inspired cocktail lounge and an opulent champagne bar. A library, meeting rooms, and Internet café help keep you inspired and connected, while the ship’s indoor and outdoor lounges invite you to relax and admire the sea views.

Cabin Amenities

Norwegian Pearl’s accommodation spans all price points and tastes, ensuring there’s something to suit a variety of parties. At the highest end you’ll find Haven suites, set in a private courtyard with lush landscaping, a private pool, and butler service. Garden Villas and Owners’ Suites are the largest suites on offer, positioned at the top of the ship with enhance exclusivity. Yet all accommodation is nicely furnished with wooden accents, offering standard features like private bathrooms, flat-screen televisions and satellite telephones. Many rooms also include balconies or ocean views, and room service is available 24-7.

Dining Options

The ship offers a convenient ‘freestyle dining’ plan, without assigned tables and seats. This means you can choose from the full range of restaurants to eat in each evening, though it’s important to make reservations to get your top choice. There are two main dining rooms, including the minimalist chic of Indigo and the lush décor of Summer Palace. Specialty dining gives you options from around the world, whether it’s the Asian street food of Blue Lagoon or the French classics at Le Bistro. Cagney’s House dishes up expertly prepared steaks and seafood, while La Cucina gives a rustic family-styled Italian dining experience. When you’re craving a more casual experience, venture to the Great Outdoors for burgers and hot dogs, or Garden Café for buffet-style service. And you can always get your java fix at the Java Café, positioned in the lobby!

Entertainment

Music, magic and dancing take place at the Stardust Theatre, the ship’s top venue for Las Vegas-calibre shows. You’re sure to be dazzled from the moment you enter this opulent theatre, with its opera house décor and colourful pyrotechnics. Norwegian Pearl also offers live music in its range of bars and lounges, including all-night dancing at the Spinnakers Lounge.

Sports and Wellness

Get fit and have fun with the ship’s assortment of sports facilities, including a jogging track, basketball court, volleyball court, and golf driving range. There’s a dedicated area for fitness classes where you can try your hand at spinning or yoga, as well as a full-service gym. Bodywaves spa is operated by Mandara in Hawaii, giving you a full menu of pampering treatments to choose from including massages, hydrotherapy, and skincare. My favourite part of the cruise was probably meeting so many likeminded individuals and making real friends for life. Most of us are still chatting every day.

The ship's crew were fantastic and knew exactly how to serve and keep us all happy and the cruise director was the funniest man I'd ever met and my and partner I laughed every time we saw him.
