Typical Passengers

There’s something for everyone onboard, with swimming pools, entertainment and nightlife for all ages. MSC Splendida caters particularly well to young adult couples, families with children or teens and solo travellers, however. You can expect a wide range of nationalities and a wealth of different languages spoken onboard, creating a vibrant and diverse atmosphere.

Ship Amenities

With a propulsion power that rivals 120 Ferraris, MSC Splendida is a sleek, powerful ship. It houses four swimming pools, including an exclusive option for occupants of the MSC Yacht Club and its suites. There’s also a pool that doubles as an indoor and outdoor design thanks to its retractable glass domed roof. Yacht Club members can sail in the lap of luxury, with their own dip pool, private sunbathing area, hot tubs and concierge services. MSC Splendida’s interior décor is vast and stylish, with multiple decks lined with lounges, bars, boutique shops and eateries. The Royal Palm Casino is a hotbed of activity with its slot machines and table games, or you can venture to the Strand show lounge for lively entertainment. There’s also a 4D cinema, virtual reality centre, library and card room to round out the onboard amenities.

Cabin Amenities

A solid eighty percent of cabins on MSC Splendida feature an outdoor position, which means they offer either a balcony or window with view. The most exclusive accommodation are the suites, which include Yacht Club access, or spa suites with unlimited spa access. Yet all cabins include amenities designed for comfort and convenience, such as a private bathroom with shower and toiletries. In-room entertainment includes interactive televisions with satellite phones and radios, and you’ll also find air conditioning, a minibar, and refrigerator on hand.

Dining Options

The main dining room, La Reggia, offers open seating for its breakfast and lunch services and assigned seating for dinner. It spread out over two decks, with elegant décor and alcove banquette seating interspersed with tables of varying sizes. Suite occupants can enjoy their own Villa Verde dining room, with its panoramic views. A number of specialty restaurants are on hand for passengers to mix up the dining options. Visit L’Olivo to enjoy Italian and Mediterranean classics, or enjoy a flavourful Tex-Mex menu at Santa Fe. There’s also a buffet-styled eatery called Bora Bora Cafeteria, which is open for 20 hours each day to satisfy all those cravings from morning to night.

There’s never a dull moment onboard MSC Splendida, which like many MSC cruises puts an emphasis on visual entertainment to suit the multicultural audience. The Strand Theatre is the central show lounge, with plush seating and excellent sight lines for its 1,700 guests. You’ll be able to take in everything from acrobatics to dancing and magic shows in this lounge. If you’re in the mood for something more active, head to any of the ship’s various bars and lounges in the evenings to tap your toes along to live music or take a twirl around the dance floor!

Sports and Wellness

Work up a sweat with the ship’s various fitness facilities, from a jogging track to a tennis and basketball court. Deck quoits and mini-golf are also on hand to keep you occupied and challenged during the day. And when it’s time to unwind, venture to the Aurea Spa to indulge in massage, nail and beauty treatments from the experts. There’s a thermal suite with saunas and steam rooms, as well as a well-equipped gym for all your wellness needs.
