ABOUT MSC OPERA

Typical Passengers

There’s something for everyone onboard MSC Opera, which attracts solo travellers, adult couples, and families with children alike. Its brash, big-city lifestyle creates the air of an international resort, and you’ll hear a variety of languages onboard. Children can enjoy features like a play centre equipped with LEGO and Chicco products, video games room, and age-segregated activities led by energetic youth counsellors.

Ship Amenities

Swimming pools and a water park for children gives plenty of space to splash, play, and soak up the sun. The ship’s decks are named after famous operas, with décor featuring Italian influences and minimalist furniture. Marble and premium wood tones work well together to create a harmonious, stylish environment. You’ll find plenty of facilities onboard MSC Opera, including a show lounge, nightclub, lounges, bars, Internet centre, virtual reality centre, and library. The Via Condotti shopping gallery is airy and chic, lined with shopping boutiques and an integrated bar and entertainment area. It provides a social hub for the ship. There’s also the Monte Carlo Casino with its roulette, blackjack, and poker games, along with flashy slot machines to try.

Cabin Amenities

Passengers can choose from several different price grades and layouts, with plenty of cabins offering outside views and balconies. All accommodation includes hotel-quality amenities like minibars, personal safes, and 24-hour room service. You can enjoy complimentary tea and coffee throughout your stay, and rooms include a satellite television with audio channels to encourage relaxation. Suites offer additional lounging space with a larger sitting area and bathrooms fully stocked with complimentary toiletries and plush cotton bathrobes.

Dining Options

La Caravella Restaurant is the primary dining room onboard MSC Opera, showcasing the views from its picture windows. Passengers staying in suites have access to their own restaurant, L’Approdo, and both options serve a tempting blend of seasonal Italian and Mediterranean dishes. For buffet service, there’s Le Vele Cafeteria which is open 20 hours a day to accommodate late night hunger pangs. Aroma Café rounds out the options, dishing up specialty coffees and delicious pastries from the upper level of the atrium lobby.

Entertainment

From sophisticated jazz to DJ-led dance parties, there’s something for everyone when it comes to entertainment! The Teatro dell’Opera seats 713 passengers in opulent tiered seating, with good sight lines available from most of the plush, comfortable seats. This is the ship’s primary entertainment venue and show lounge, hosting musical productions, cabaret, and magic acts as well as social functions throughout the cruise. There’s also the Opera Lounge for those who wish to dance the night away to a live band, as well as the thumping beats of the Byblos Discotheque for those in search of more modern late-night entertainment.

Sports and Wellness

Passengers have access to all their spa, salon, and fitness needs in one stop at the Opera Health Centre. This soothing complex includes massage and treatment rooms and a beauty salon, as well as a thermal suite where you can enjoy a good aromatherapy steam or sauna experience. The centre is operated by OceanView, in partnership with Balinese staff and European hairstylists. When it comes to fitness, there are also loads of options starting with the centre’s gym. Here you’ll be able to tone your muscles and get your heart pumping while enjoying inspiring ocean views. The ship’s outdoor recreation includes two swimming pools, a mini-golf course, and jogging track that loops around the deck.
