Typical Passengers

Passengers range from young couples to groups of friends and older solo travellers. On such a large ship, you’ll see a diverse range of guests from across Europe. The ship is particularly well equipped to accommodate families with children. With this in mind, it offers a jungle adventure playground, activity programmes, a children’s club and an arcade just for teens.

Ship Amenities

Passengers can pick and choose from four different swimming pools, one of which is covered by a retractable glass dome to ensure swimming conditions are ideal in any weather. Around the swimming areas sit a mini-golf course as well as a walking and jogging track. There’s an exclusive area just for occupants of the Yacht Club suites, with its own private sunbathing deck, dip pool, hot tubs and concierge services. The MSC Fantasia’s interior is elegantly designed with Swarovski crystal staircases and thoughtfully laid out, with two decks of public bars, restaurants and lounges to explore. This includes a sophisticated library as well as the glitzy Monte Carlo Casino with its table games and slot machines. In addition to the central shops, show lounge and nightclub, there’s also a bevy of lounges showcasing live music each evening. For passengers ready to turn up the action, the ship offers a 4D cinema experience as well as an F1 Ferrari racing simulator.

Cabin Amenities

The vast majority (eighty percent) of cabins on MSC Fantasia offer an outside view, and most of these also have a balcony. Standard amenities that you’ll find in all accommodation include flat screen televisions, air conditioning, vanity tables with hairdryers, and coffee and tea making facilities. There’s also a personal safe as well as a minibar and fridge. All cabins offer private bathrooms with toiletries and comfortable towels. Guests who upgrade to the MSC Yacht Club VIP Section enjoy not only more space, but also the convenience of a full butler service. Some suites also connect directly to the Aurea Spa, for unlimited access to its saunas, steam rooms and other facilities.

Dining Options

Passengers can select from four dining venues, each with its own charms. The main dining room is called Red Velvet, spanning two decks with elegant décor and light Mediterranean fare using the freshest, most seasonal ingredients possible. MSC Fantasia produces its own handmade pasta, and offers Italian specialties at Il Cerchio d’Oro under glittering Murano chandeliers. You can also dine on French cuisine at L’Etoile, or Tex-Mex flavours at El Sombrero. L’Africana Café is the ship’s buffet restaurant, open for 20 hours throughout the day to satisfy those late-night cravings. La Cantina Toscana is a wine bar, and there’s also a Sports and Bowling Diner for classic American cuisine.

In addition to the dozens of bars, pubs and lounges, you can visit L’Avanguardia in the evenings. This central show lounge offers 1,603 seats and professional productions that rival any in major onshore theatres. Due to the multilingual demographic onboard, the shows tend to be very visual, so you might see acrobatics, dancing, mimes, magicians, or other acts of this nature. Live music is also on hand throughout the ship.

Sports and Wellness

Visit the Aurea Spa for indulgent beauty and wellness treatments. There’s a thermal suite with refreshing steam rooms infused with herbal aromatherapy blends, to lift your spirits or soothe body and mind. Balinese massage and body treatments leave you feeling pampered, and there’s also a gym with all the cardio and weights equipment one would expect. When you’re ready to work up a sweat, pick up a game of shuffleboard, tennis, basketball, or mini-golf on deck.

Grand Adventure

Austin, on 26th May 2020

The ship was MSC Fantasia and it was very good value for money. We always enjoy the round the world quiz that runs over several days and the shows are of a good standard.

Fabulous captain and crew MSC Fantasia

Storey, Liverpool on 23rd May 2020

I have nothing but praise for the captain and crew of MSC Fantasia. Nothing was a problem to any of them, the cabin steward went above and beyond his duty, to make sure you had everything you needed.
