ABOUT IONA

Ship Amenities

The ship’s main hub is its brand-new Grand Atrium, custom-built to impress with its amazing sea views and elegant décor. The central atrium spans three decks, with a gorgeous central staircase to admire the view. There are four swimming pools, 16 whirlpools and outdoor recreation outlets, as well as a new entertainment venue called the Skydome. A boutique cinema called Ocean Studios offers four cinema screens to provide plenty of variety, from modern blockbusters to cinema classics! The Skydome also houses a grand central pool with a retractable stage, making it the perfect place for deck parties and performances. There is also plenty of stylish bars and pubs in line with P&O’s other ships, as well as a Lanai deck that stretches for half a mile of al fresco bars and eateries. And throughout the ship, designed by top-class architects, you’ll find a whopping 4,000 pieces of original artwork to admire.

Cabin Amenities

Guests are able to pick and choose from several different types of accommodation. One of the most innovative new types of suite is the ship’s Conservatory Mini-suite, which offers a separate lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliding doors separating the main cabin from the balcony. This unique concept brings the outdoors in, with modern flexibility built into its design. Aft and Forward Suites give all the comforts of a boutique hotel room, with neutral tones and marble bathrooms. Even the most basic interior cabins have been thoughtfully designed with little touches to add personality and style, including tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, a minifridge, flat-screen television and White Company toiletries.

Dining Options

You definitely won’t be short on choices when it comes to dining onboard Iona. There are 30 eateries in total, including pubs, bars and restaurants. Expect partnerships with Michelin-starred celebrity chefs including Marco Pierre White. There aren't any set dining times on Iona; instead, you can dine where you like, when you like for total freedom and flexibility. Dine at old P&O favourites like Sindhu for Indian and the Glass House wine bar, along with new additions to the line-up like the Keel & Cow steakhouse and Quays piazza market. You’ll find everything from Asian street food to American fairground treats in this foodie-friendly marketplace.

Entertainment

The SkyDome is the heart and soul of the ship’s entertainment and nightlife scene, hosting the hidden 710 Club and cocktail bar, as well as the cinema and pool parties. Yet this is far from the only option onboard this massive ship. Visit Brodie’s Pub for a traditional English drinking experience, or the ship’s very own gin distillery to sample its own brand of flavours!

Sports and Wellness

Onboard Iona you'll get to experience a carefully curated collection of destination-inspired experiences (including the Nordic Soapstone Therapy and the Baltic Fire & Ice Massage) with expert therapists to make sure all your rest and recuperation needs are met. If you've got any energy left after exploring the ports and Iona, make sure you head to the onboard sports arena where you can have a go at some archery or play some family-friendly football or tennis.
