Typical Passengers
As one might expect, Disney Magic draws a high percentage of families with young children and teens. However, adult couples and solo travellers are also well-catered for, with special zones available for adults only, families with toddlers, and families with older children. Each zone offers its own swimming pool and sunbathing area. Additional family-friendly features include a jumbo cinema screen, private babysitting for a fee, and character breakfasts and lunches.
Ship Amenities
Sleek and streamlined, Disney Magic is the first ship designed by Disney Cruise Line. There’s a strong attention to detail in this ship that recalls the glamour and nostalgia of the golden age of ocean travel – it boasts two funnels and a black hull. In addition to the separately zoned swimming pools, an Aqua Dunk water slide was added in 2013 to make this ship fast-paced and modern. Indoors, public areas are elegantly decorated with an Art Deco theme and plenty of Disney character detailing. The lobby showcases a statue of Mickey Mouse that spans upwards for three decks, and there’s an abundance of bars, lounges and eateries to choose from here. One of the highlights of any Disney Cruise is a visit to the private island, Castaway Cay. Passengers can enjoy water sports, tropical beaches and a private pier for casting off.
Cabin Amenities
Choose from an array of different cabin layouts and price grades in Disney Magic, whether you’re after a standard interior cabin or lavish suite. All accommodation is cleverly designed to make the best use of space, with common features like illuminated closets, vertical steamer trunks to store clothing, and bathrobes. Many cabins include refrigerators and minibars, and all include infotainment systems to enjoy. If you upgrade to a suite, you can expect bathtubs, extra space, big-screen TVs, and extra beds for families to spread out in.
Dining Options
You’ll get to rotate through three main dining rooms during your time on Disney Magic, making every meal special and unique. Lumiere’s boasts a Beauty and the Beast theme, while Parrot Cay offers a Caribbean theme. Animator’s Palate is the third option, with electronic art that switches up the décor from colour to black and white as you eat. Adults can enjoy intimate dinners in their own reservations-only restaurant, Palo, or you can venture to Topsider’s for self-service buffet options. Goofy’s Galley dishes up grilled panini and wraps, while Scoops is the resident ice cream bar. You can also indulge in pizza at Pinocchio’s or burgers and hot dogs at Pluto’s.
Entertainment
As one might expect on a Disney cruise, the entertainment and activities programme is quite impressive onboard Disney Magic! You’ll be able to take in three major stage productions in the ship’s show lounge, which range from original musicals to comedy productions featuring familiar characters. Take part in an interactive trivia game show, or dance the night away in the ship’s bars and lounges. Deck parties and theme nights also take place regularly, with characters making surprise appearances.
Sports and Wellness
You can keep fit during your time on Disney Magic by visiting the ship’s spa and fitness complex, the Vista Spa. It includes a high-tech gym with Cybex equipment and ocean views. Visit the sports deck for an abundance of outdoor fun and games, from volleyball to basketball, or indulge in a massage in the treatment rooms below.

Endless blue waters, as far as the eye can see. I'm floating in luxury on a sea of tranquility. Plenty to do, so much to see, but I've not a care in the world, sitting on my balcony.
