Ship Amenities

A sleek, stylish ship, Diamond Princess comes fully loaded with recreational amenities both inside and out. You’ll find four carefully designed areas that focus on swimming pools, with one featuring an outdoor movie screen and another covered by a retractable glass roof to enable swimming in all seasons. Adults have their own space in the Sanctuary, a private, extra-cost deck with pampering treatments, private cabanas and waiter service. The ship’s interior is tastefully decorated with earth tones and splashes of colour, its focal point being the atrium lobby. Set up like an Italian piazza, it’s the go-to place for people watching whether it’s from the Vines wine bar or International Café coffee shop. There’s also a library, computer room, card room and wedding chapel. Entertainment options include the glamorous décor of the Grand Casino, as well as a range of stylish bars like Skywalkers Nightclub and the wood-panelled Wheelhouse Bar.

Cabin Amenities

The ship was fully refitted in 2014, with additional cabins added and existing accommodation given a stylish upgrade. All accommodation offers a high standard of service, starting with nightly pillow chocolates and turndown service and extending to personalised toiletry kits and bathrobes. You’ll find a vanity desk, hair dryer, and open shelving on hand, as well as flat screen infotainment systems and 24-hour room service. Upgrade to a suite and you’ll be treated to private balconies and hot tubs in some cases.

Dining Options

Passengers can pick and choose from five main dining options, all with their own themed cuisine and décor. Main restaurants on Diamond Princess include the Pacific Moon, Vivaldi, Savoy, Santa Fe, and International eateries, with a mix of seating times and styles. All feature elegant Egyptian cotton linens and Hepp silverware. Make reservations at Sabatini’s when you’re in the mood for a friendly multi-course Italian dining experience, or Kai Sushi for a delicious selection of a la carte sushi rolls, Japanese noodles, and an impressive tea list. The Sterling Steakhouse dishes up grilled chops, seafood and steaks, while the Horizon Court offers buffet-style dining stations in a bustling setting. Additional options include a champagne and caviar bar, poolside burger grill, and lobby pizzeria.

In addition to the main casino, bars, and Skywalkers nightclub, you can visit dedicated entertainment venues for a selection of shows both day and night. The Princess Theatre is the main venue onboard Diamond Princess, with lavish Hollywood-worthy productions. Club Fusion is a secondary option with its cabaret acts in the evening and lectures during the day.

Sports and Wellness

As part of its recent refit, Diamond Princess gained the addition of Izumi, a relaxing Japanese bath and garden space with a selection of bathing pools and hot waterfalls. There’s also the Lotus Spa to visit, with ocean-view treatment rooms, a beauty salon, a sauna, and steam rooms. Fitness fanatics will enjoy the high-tech gym and exercise classes on offer, from kickboxing to spinning!

A Dream Come True.

The service, people and the overall standard of the ship. I can't wait to go on a cruise again. I would recommend a cruise to anyone who is interested in visiting countries of interest.
