Typical Passengers
Passengers onboard this large and lively ship are primarily based in North America. The ship appeals to older couples and groups of friends as well as families. Children’s entertainment includes the Fun Factory for ages 3-12 and the Tower with its teen-appropriate activities.
Ship Amenities
Celebrity Summit’s hull is painted a stately royal blue and white, designed by mega-yacht architect Jon Bannenberg to give it a striking appearance. It was recently upgraded in 2012 to bring it in line with the fleet’s newer Solstice set of ships, adding fresh cabins, facilities and gourmet dining options. The interior boasts high-quality materials with a heavy use of transparent glass to maximise ocean views. This is particularly noticeable in the central atrium, with its four glass-walled elevators and wide, airy space housing tour operator desks, reception areas and a bank. Guests can take advantage of public facilities like a cinema and conference centre, high-tech show lounge, and multilevel library. There’s a spacious arcade lined with designer shops from Fendi to Versace, along with a card room and music-listening lounge. Visit Michael’s Club if you’re staying in a suite; this private club is open for cigars and cognac. An internet café and Fortunes Casino round out the facilities on offer here.
Cabin Amenities
Choose from standard interior cabins, outside-view cabins, and spacious suites. Suite grades include the Concierge, Aqua, Royal, Celebrity and Penthouse classes, each with their own unique features and amenities. Suite occupants also have access to their own specialty dining outlets including the Luminae and Blu restaurants. All accommodation is designed for comfort and convenience, featuring amenities like infotainment systems, private bathrooms with showers, vanity desks with hair dryers, and sitting areas. Room service is on hand for all accommodation.
Dining Options
No matter what you fancy, you’ll find it on Celebrity Summit. Are you in the mood for champagne and caviar? Visit Carlisle’s to see and be seen. Café al Bacio and Gelateria is another social hub, with speciality coffees in a trendy Italian-style setting. Visit Sushi on Five for the catch of the day, or the Waterfall Café and Grill for self-serve buffet stations and a pizza bar. The Cosmopolitan Restaurant is the ship’s main dining room, offering a show-stopping grand staircase, live music, and a floor-to-ceiling glass wall with sea views. You’ll be able to choose between two seating times each evening, and suite occupants have their own dining venues as mentioned above. For special occasions, treat yourself to Kobe beef at the Tuscan Grille, or venture to QSine for innovative small bites in a high-tech environment.
Entertainment
There’s little chance of boredom onboard any Celebrity cruise, and the Celebrity Summit is no exception with its lavish show lounge. This Celebrity Theatre offers plush seating for 900 guests, spanning three decks including a main floor and two balconies. It’s fully equipped with high-tech audio and visual equipment, to support a stunning range of musical productions and cabaret shows.
Sports and Wellness
When you’re ready to relax, venture to the ship’s spa and gym complex. It’s operated by Canyon Ranch, with a bevy of soothing massages, pampering aromatherapy and skin treatments available. The gym offers a blend of weight and cardio equipment, and there’s also a thalassotherapy swimming pool included under a solarium dome to make it suitable for use in all seasons. Nearby is a health bar, serving freshly squeezed juices and smoothies to keep you looking and feeling your best.

Mostly we ate in the Main Dining Room, where the food and service were excellent. The sommelier was very knowledgeable.

The Guest Relations department is apparently award winning, and that doesnt surprise me. They were definitely the best Guest Relations team we have ever encountered.
