Ship Amenities
Any discussion of Eclipse must begin with one of its prime highlights, the Lawn Club. This luscious patch of greenery is a social hub for the ship, with its open-air lawn hosting croquet and bocce ball alongside picnics. It’s a prime spot for sunbathing and yoga classes as well as intriguing hot glass shows courtesy of the Corning Museum of Glass. Nearby you’ll find the pool area on the Resort Deck, with a sports pool, splash zone for kids, family pool and adjacent solarium. The ship’s interior spaces aren’t too shabby either, with dining outlets positioned towards the aft and entertainment towards the front. Take your pick from bars like a jazz-era cocktail lounge, high-tech Quasar bar, and wine bar with accompanying sommelier. The Martini Bar is a Celebrity cruise signature, with classy décor and a staggering vodka selection. Additional amenities include an Apple product iLounge, alongside a library and casino.
Cabin Amenities
Comfortably appointed, accommodation is quite spacious and includes high-tech infotainment systems, vanity desks, and premium bedding. Private bathrooms are included in all cabins and suites with accompanying showers, toiletries, fluffy towels and hairdryers. If you wish to enjoy a higher level of accommodation, there’s a multitude of suite grades to choose from, most with large balconies and sun loungers.
Dining Options
No matter what you’re craving, there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to find it onboard Celebrity Eclipse! This includes Kobe beef and Italian food at Tuscan Grille, or upscale French dishes at Murano. Sip a Lavazza Italian coffee at Café al Bacio, or head to Sushi on Five for Japanese noodles, hot pot dishes and ocean-fresh sushi and sashimi. The ship’s buffet restaurant is called the Oceanview Café and Grill, and the spa also hosts its own eatery serving lighter fare. The main dining room is called Moonlight Sonata and it’s designed to impress guests with ocean views, contemporary décor and a two-deck-high wine tower serving as a focal point. Suite occupants can enjoy their own intimate dinners at Blu or Luminae, and Qsine is a fun, playful restaurant with quirky small bite dishes and interactive menus.
Entertainment
When the sun goes down, get ready to play in the ship’s entertainment venues and lounges. Whether you’re in the mood to watch a quiet film or dance until dawn, you’ll find what you’re looking for! You can get the party started in the Entertainment Court, a central area filled with street performers and caricaturists. The Eclipse Theatre is the main show lounge, hosting circus-styled productions and colourful cabaret acts. Visit the Observation Lounge for light shows, or Celebrity Central for lectures, films and stand-up comic acts. And for live jazz and classy cocktails, visit the lounge next door to Murano.
Sports and Wellness
The ship’s spa is operated by Canyon Ranch, offering an oasis at sea with two decks of workout spaces, fitness equipment, steam rooms, ice fountains, and relaxation zones. Enjoy a snooze on a heated tiled bed, or push yourself to the limit with kinetic workout equipment. Book a massage, facial, manicure, or acupuncture treatment in this lush and relaxing space. You’re sure to feel rejuvenated!
CELEBRITY ECLIPSE
Hazell, Carmarthen, 8th Feb 2019
I have cruised with Celebrity a few times, of choice I will never book another cruise line; the standard is first class and nothing is too much trouble.
CELEBRITY ECLIPSE
North, Barlaston, 6th Feb 2019
With only 2 Celebrity cruises to our name we have found that each stage of the operation was genuinely 5 star.
