Typical Passengers

This vibrant ship pulls in an international crowd, with passengers hailing from Canada, the United States, Europe and beyond. Ages range from the tiniest tots to active retirees, but the ship is particularly popular amongst families for its kid-friendly offerings. These include the water park, Dr Seuss programming and kids’ clubs, as well as the Family Harbour cabins and video game arcade.

Ship Amenities

Carnival Vista is action-packed from bottom to top, with plenty of activities to keep you occupied during days at sea. Dance classes, game shows, bingo, sports competitions, indoor Ping-Pong, mini-bowling and a 4D cinema are just the tip of the iceberg. There’s also the SkyRide bike course with its high-flying viewpoint, an IMAX theatre, and selection of pools. Two of these are public, including the Beaches and the Tides, while the third is exclusively reserved for passengers staying in Havana cabins. This one is particularly chic, being an infinity pool surrounded by thatched cabanas. Kids will love the WaterWorks park with its Twister water slide, splash zone, and Kaleid-o-Slide with its changing colours. There’s also a ropes course as well as all the fun and games of the SportSquare, complete with a mini-golf course. Indoor action is centred around the atrium lobby, which is airy and bright. Visit the Library for books and board games on a rainy day, or Pixels photo gallery for cruise photos. An internet café, duty-free shops, and DIY launderettes are also included, as well as a range of bars and eateries.

Cabin Amenities

Cabins are spacious and comfortably outfitted, with a generous amount of storage. There’s a wide range of layouts to choose from, so you can find something to best suit your party whether traveling as a couple or with the whole family. All accommodation includes flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, hairdryers, and safety deposit boxes. There’s an infotainment system with multiple channels and on-demand movies for a fee.

Dining Options

From international buffets to multicourse meals, there’s plenty of choice onboard Carnival Vista. The main dining room is spacious, with a choice of flexible or fixed dining times, and you can also visit the Lido Marketplace buffet throughout the day to suit your cravings. Food Network personality Guy Fieri has lent his fast-food expertise to Guy’s Burger Joint, and there’s also the Mexican street food at BlueIguana Cantina as well as a Mongolian grill and pasta bar. Fahrenheit 555 is an exclusive steakhouse with sophisticated décor and aged beef steaks, while the Chef’s Table provides a premium multi-course tasting menu prepared before your eyes. Visit Bonsai Sushi for bento boxes and sushi rolls, or Java Blue Café for speciality coffees throughout the day. Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant and Jiji Asian Kitchen round out the selections.

Activities grow even more colourful during the evening, with a choice of dance clubs, bars and glitzy musical productions to choose from. Visit the Casino for fun and games, or the Liquid Lounge for song-and-dance shows and cabaret acts. The PunchLiner Comedy Club showcases adults-only comedy in the evenings, and live music takes place most evenings in the Ocean Plaza. Havana Club heats up with sizzling Latin dance nights, and you can enjoy movies under the stars on the Lido Deck.

Sports and Wellness

Keep up with your usual fitness routine in the gym, featuring high-tech equipment and sea views. There’s a full calendar of fitness classes from morning to night, whether you’re in the mood for a stretching session or core workout. The ship’s spa is open for facials, massages, wraps, acupuncture treatments, and detox sessions. From hot stone to bamboo treatments, you’ll feel pampered from top to toe. There’s also a thermal suite complete with thalassotherapy pool, steam rooms and sensory showers.

Brits On-board Carnival Vista As A Family Of 4.

Pharo, Cambridge, 14th Nov 2017

It is definitely different from the likes of the UK P&O offering, with lots of loud music, bright decor, encouraging of a party atmosphere, and a very young crowd.
