ABOUT CARNIVAL HORIZON

Ship Amenities

The ship’s heart is its main atrium, which pulses with live music, bright LED lighting and a digital sculpture called the Dreamscape. Outdoor space features an array of recreational outlets, starting with its massive wraparound promenade where you can take a stroll or relax in comfy seating. Visit the Beach Pool for soaking in the sun or splashing around in its spacious waters, or the Tides Pool to snag a spot in the shade. Many of the ship’s bars and eateries feature outdoor seating, like the Havana Club with its hot tubs, swimming pool and Latin vibes. Smart new technology includes the Hub App for making reservations, as well as a new elevator system to help with crowd control. Kids of all ages will love the SkyRide feature, with its open-air capsules that you can pedal around the overhead track, giving great views along the way. There’s also a SkyCourse ropes course, Sports Square gaming area, and Dr Seuss WaterWorks aqua park featuring water slides and characters like the Cat in the Hat. A library, internet café, photography gallery, and multiple shops round out the services on offer.

Cabin Amenities

Cabins and suites rival any others in the Carnival fleet, with a high percentage featuring outdoor balconies and ocean views. At the most basic level, you’ll find interior cabins, which are outfitted with bright tropical décor, private bathrooms and high-tech infotainment systems. Upgrade to one of the suites for additional living space to spread out and relax!

Dining Options

Dining outlets onboard Carnival Horizon include a range of free and speciality for-fee choices. The main dining rooms are called Meridian and Reflections, open for three meals a day in the case of Meridian and for dinner only in the case of Reflections. The Ocean Plaza Buffet is a secondary option, with hot and cold dishes for breakfast and lunch. It’s smaller than the main buffet, Lido Marketplace, which fills up with diners tempted by the lavish spreads and distinct cooking stations. From a pasta bar to a Mongolian grill and American comfort food, there’s something for everyone here! Additional outlets include Guy Fieri’s Guy’s Burger Joint, Pizzeria del Capitano, the Blue Iguana Cantina, and Chef’s Table fine dining experience. Bonsai Sushi is airy and bright, with freshly prepared sushi rolls and bento boxes, or you can head to Bonsai Teppanyaki for food cooked to order on tableside hibachi grills.

Entertainment

The entertainment stretches from dawn until dusk on Carnival Horizon. Daytime activities include poolside matinee movies, trivia contests, virtual reality arcade games, and bingo sessions among others. At night, visit the Liquid Lounge to enjoy high-energy, Vegas-style productions complete with plenty of LED special effects and live music. There’s music at every turn in the evenings, along with karaoke, dance sessions, themed deck parties and comedy acts.

Sports and Wellness

Round out your Carnival Horizon cruise with a visit to the onsite Cloud 9 Spa, which sprawls across Decks 12 and 14 with its lush, relaxing wellness treatments, thermal suite and aromatherapy chambers. Indulge in Elemis therapies from hot stone massages to dry body scrubs, along with a touch of medi-spa treatments like teeth whitening and facial touch-ups. And you can keep your body in tip-top shape with a visit to the onsite gym, featuring cardiovascular equipment and weights. Fitness classes include RYDE Spinning, boot camp, or Pilates to suit every style!

Carnival Horizon - The Inaugural Voyage.

CARNIVAL HORIZON

Pharo, Cambridge, 22nd Apr 2018

The ship was really nice and very family friendly - it has a large Dr Seuss Splashpark, slides, a sky ride, crazy golf, 4-way table tennis, twister, an arcade, and Imax cinema and thrill theatre.
