Typical Passengers
There’s something for all tastes onboard the Adventure of the Seas, but it’s particularly popular with families. Kids of all ages can splash away in the three outdoor swimming pools, with dual-racer waterslides for little ones to enjoy. A Flow Rider surf simulator, ‘Splashaway Bay’ aqua park and onsite kids’ clubs all add to the family-friendly appeal.
Ship Amenities
In many areas, the ship feels more like a small resort town than a boat, particularly along the interior of the Royal Promenade. Spanning a distance covering two American football fields, this airy atrium houses a bevy of cafes, shops, bars, pubs and artwork. Should you somehow tire of the swimming pools, splash zones, hot tubs and water slides on deck, you can take a twirl around the regulation-sized ice-skating rink. With bleacher seating and a fresh sheet of real ice, it’s the perfect location for cooling down. Prefer to curl up with a good book? Visit the 24-hour library, spanning two whole decks with classic titles and bestsellers alike. Art fans will find a whopping $12 million worth of masterpieces on show, while golf enthusiasts can play a round in the Adventure Links before relaxing at the 19th Hole golf bar.
Cabin Amenities
Your cabin provides an oasis of calm and tranquillity onboard the Adventure of the Seas. Cabin choices include interior and balcony options as well as more spacious suites. Three hundred of the cabins feature interconnecting doors, making them ideal for families. Standard amenities include an infotainment system, vanity unit, bathroom, hairdryer and telephone. Royal Suites are the top tier of accommodation, with over 100 square metres of space.
Dining Options
You’ll dine in style in the main dining room, seating over 1,900 passengers over three levels of elegant seating space with a dramatic connecting staircase. In addition to the main dining areas, you can also select from a range of specialty options including the Euro-Italian cuisine at Giovanni’s Table, the buffet meals at Windjammer Café, and the casual fare at Island Grill. Visit Johnny Rockets for 1950s-styled décor and a fun diner menu including burgers and shakes. Additional options include pizzas, continental breakfasts and specialty coffees at the Promenade Café and 24-7 ice cream at Sprinkles.
Entertainment
Royal Caribbean pulls out all the stops when it comes to entertainment, so the ship is stuffed to the gills with lively venues, theatres and bars. At the heart of it all is the Lyric Theatre, seating 1,350 guests in an elegant Art Nouveau-styled setting. This is where you can take in Broadway-quality productions and live band performances. The Royal Promenade is also another entertainment hub onboard, hosting the Schooner Bar and piano lounge as well as the glitzy gaming tables of the Casino Royale. If you prefer live jazz in an intimate setting, head to Blue Moon in the Viking Crown Lounge. For a low-key evening, sip a glass of bubbly in the Champagne Bar or try the cigar and cognac menus at the Connoisseur Club.
Recreation and Wellness
Visit the ShipShape health spa for all your health and wellness needs. Its 1,400 square metre space includes everything from a fitness centre to aerobics room and selection of saunas for men and women. Book a massage or beauty treatment here to melt stresses away. There’s also a Solarium complete with sliding glass roof, as well as a rock-climbing wall to test your strength. Additional sports areas include a basketball court, golf course, and rollerblading track to help you keep fit. And if you wish to take a dip into the ocean, the diver and snorkel shop has equipment to hire.
