Las Vegas v Jurgen Klopp

For any of my customers who have spoken to me in recent weeks you will be aware Ive been planning a trip to Vegas to celebrate my 15th Wedding anniversary but also mark 25 years of Michael and I being a couple.

Las Vegas has always been on my list of places id like to visit, with the grandparents offering to mind the children I decided to book this trip as  suprise for my husband and planned it all last Summer. I never thought to check the date of the Champions League Final 2019 and this turned out to be a huge mistake as my Husband is a life long Liverpool Supporter with a season ticket at Anfield!! over the course of the last few months instead of planning exciting trips and sights to see whilst in the US ive been worrying like mad if my husband would actually be coming with me as Liverpool progressed through the stages of the Champions League.  So as you know my fears came true and Liverpool qualified and my husband got a ticket in the Ballot for Madrid….. only he couldnt go as we would be in Vegas!!!!

So our wonderful Romantic trip didnt quite go to plan and when we first arrived I wasnt blown away with how amazing Las Vegas was. That was until the day of our Anniversary and our trip to the Grand Canyon…. Wow what an experiance. I had been recomended to do a helicopter trip by one of my colleagues and it was such great advice. My husband soon forgot about Jurgen Klopp and we had a wonderful time flying into the Canyon and then landing inside for a glass of champagne.

That evening we dined at Wolfgang Pucks Spago restaurant at the Bellagio  Hotel, it has a patio area that overlooks the fountains and as we walked out to our table for 2 right next to the water the fountains were playing and I had tears in my eyes and I now get the Magic of Las Vegas. We ended our day back at our hotel The Mirage watching LOVE by Cirque Du Solieil a tribute to the music of the Beatles. It was a bit like being back home in Liverpool!!

We were due to fly home during the Champions League final and so Michael got to watch the match on his phone using the Airports Wifi until 5 minutes before the end… The 2nd Goal had gone in at this point so he knew Liverpool would win but he had to wait 10 hours to see a picture of of the Liverpool Team celebrations and them holding the cup.  The Parade to welcome the team back was later on the day we arrived home and so the family all headed into the city centre and I think I may have just about been forgiven!

So to conclude my thoughts on Las Vegas, for years ive heard all about the Fantastic Hotels and how huge they are, to me they felt like Cruise Ships all parked up next to each other. It was the same concept, Casino, Buffet Dining, Multiple dining options, Piano Bar, Sports Bar a Nighclub and Pool and sunbathing area. I totally get now why the big American cruise line ships are getting bigger and bigger with more and more onboard.
