Stuck on a ship? Certainly not on a cruise ship

Do you fancy doing something different this year? Why not try a cruise? With cruises you have it all. You can visit as many places as you like, hop off and on at different destination, do you own thing or organise a guided excursion. Of course, you must to choose the right one for you just like you would choose a hotel. If you are not bothered about a wide choice of entertainment and tend to usually go for a small and intimate hotel then a smaller ship is ideal for you. But, if like me you like to be entertained, have plenty to do, with a variety of  bars, restaurants and public areas then a larger ship is the ideal choice. Some even with real lawns, pools, spa, activities like bowling, mini golf, ice skating, rock climbing, sky diving simulators. So, whether it’s a small or a large ship you’re looking for, the choices are endless and if you don’t know where to start looking ask me for advice.

If you asked me how best to describe a cruise, I would compare cruise ships to floating hotels or resorts in some cases, ranging from 4 star to 6 star Extra luxury liners.

There is certainly one to suit everyone’s taste and pockets. Why they’re great? Because you can visit different destinations in one single holiday and you are free to spend your days however you are pleased. So, if you like sightseeing, being active or rest at a beach or by the pool, the choice is yours. You can get off and explore destinations yourself but if you feel a bit unsure then excursions can be booked, but always compare prices with your agent because often they are cheaper than what cruise lines are offering them for.

The night is yours to have fun! Spend the evening dancing under the stars, watch an award-winning movie or catch a live theatre performance or simply have a quiet drink at a bar. Whatever you choose, you’ll have an endless array of ways to escape completely.

I don’t always want a busy night and depending on my mood I fancy different ambient on different nights, this is one of the reason I prefer bigger ships. The atmosphere is different everywhere you go on board and you can pick what you fancy depending on how you feel without the need to push yourself to do something you don’t want to do.  You could be heading to the piano bar or a Jazz bar, a traditional English pub or a dancing floor indoors or outdoors. Not many touristy resorts can offer such a good variety. So the phrase “stuck on a ship” doesn’t really apply to cruises.
