Hibernating for the Winter

I’ll be finishing work this weekend for a well-deserved five week break, time to recharge my batteries, to start a fresh in January just in time for the New Year boom. With this year being very much a late’s Market let’s hope many people will be eager to grab a last minute New Year’s getaway, there are some fantastic deals around now and I’m sure throughout December the January prices will be dropping rapidly for late availability. Make the most of it though as P&O & Cunard will be changing their pricing structures next year so I’m thinking all these very cheap Getaway fares will soon be a thing of the past. In my opinion P&O & Cunard only have themselves to blame for the loss of confidence with their customers over the last 18 months with Getaway fares fluctuating left right and centre so I’m hoping this new farer pricing structure will install the confidence back into customers, me included, to get passengers booking early, feeling safe that the price is not going to drop by hundreds of pounds two weeks later. Let’s see.

Now normally when I have a day off I’m tempted and often do log on to check E-mails and book the odd cabin, however this Winter I’m going to be a little busy looking after our new purchase from last weekend. He’s 8 weeks old, wrecking the house, full of the joys of life, and his name is Fred.

Hopefully if we still have internet and lap top cables left by January and they have not been chewed to pieces by our chocolate Labrador I will be logging back on 2nd January.
