Dublin here we come……….

Next week our Company will be heading down to Bristol to board the Marco Polo for our annual Conference. This is going to be a new experience for quite a few of us as I know not many of us have sailed out of Avonmouth and also not many of us have had the chance to sail with ‘Cruise & Maritime’.

For me, it’s two firsts so I’m excited to see how it all goes. I’m already sensing that I’m not going to get the same feeling of heading down to sail out of Southampton. I’m thinking I’m going to be surrounded by car transport ferries and quite a lot of rain but who knows I’ll fill you in on my return. We’re heading over to Dublin for a couple of days too which will be great. I’ve been to Dublin a few times but it’s always great fun and especially this time of year, I’m sure there will be plenty of Live music about even though we’re there on a Monday & Tuesday.

I’m looking forward to see what Cruise and Maritime have to offer, I generally liken them to Fred Olsen being smaller ships which I prefer. So long as there’s good food, a bar, and a comfy bed the entertaining they can leave to us.

As always at our Conference’s we will be donning our Christmas jumpers, and on the first night we will arrive in style in fancy dress, this year the Theme being ‘Film Characters’ so I’m sure there’s going to be some sights to be had. I’m a fan of fancy dress and a pint of Guinness so this year I can’t go wrong.

It will be great to catch up with work colleagues as many of us work from home we sometimes forget what each other look like so here’s to a great few days. I’ll fill you in on the ship when I’m back.
