Boozy Benidorm

So how was my long girly weekend in Benidorm, one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

Having mentioned to many of my passengers that I would be out of the office for a week as I was heading to the golden shores of Benidorm, I was surprised by how many customers said they regularly visit, and what a fantastic place it is.

Well I have to say I definitely agree. If you fancy a carefree, fun and entertaining weekend you certainly won’t be disappointed. As I mentioned last week me and my best friend were heading over for a friends 40^th Birthday celebrations, combining that with St Patricks weekend, we knew we would not be disappointed.

On the Sunday we hired a limo for our friends Birthday and cruised around the streets of Benidorm for two hours like VIP’s, clinging onto the bottles of champagne on board and waiving to our spectators, it was great fun.

We didn’t manage much sight-seeing but the beaches were fantastic, and our hotel ‘Levante Club’ was excellent.  A ten minute walk from the seafront made it the perfect place to relax in the spa after a night partying into the early hours.

They were advertising for extra’s for the ITV Benidorm series whilst we were there, however we were a week too early as filming has now just started, good job really as I might not have come home.

The St Patricks celebrations went on throughout the night; we spent most of our time in the ‘Shamrock’ bar. I’m a sucker for a good Irish band so that suited me down to the ground.

I surprised myself by still dancing the night away most nights until the sun came up, proving to myself I’m not hitting middle age quite yet.

On our last night we came across a new bar just opened called the’ White Star’, I must admit I did not initially see the connection as it had 4 very large Beetle’s characters outside, but inside it was full of Titanic memorabilia so as I love the Beetles and work in the cruise industry it was fate that this is where we ended our Benidorm adventure.

Would I go back, yes, in fact they have a fantastic fiesta in November so if anybody fancies it, see you there.
