When’s the Best time to book?

Is every year the same? Do you book when the prices first come out? Or do you book in January when the big discounts are on? This is the question I get asked every day and I don’t know the answer myself.

When Christmas is finished with and you’re starting a new year looking forward to the summer coming and your holiday away it’s the time you start thinking about booking. So when you see free all-inclusive, free gratuities and free onboard spending money you think WOW what amazing offers they have on, but is it really that amazing yes it is if you never book till now but if you had thought about it earlier when the brochures had come out when the prices were in fact cheaper and a lot cheaper. I’ve had many customers’s ring me up about these new offers and I can see where they’re coming from they see these offers and think why haven’t I got them but when we’ve gone into this a bit more they have in fact paid a lot cheaper for there cruise and even if they paid for the offers then it would still work out cheaper.

I’ve had many people over the last few months asking for late deals for families and just couple’s but in the cruise industry and in the height of the holiday period these really don’t happen, you very lucky if there is anything available never mind at a good price.

I’m a person that won’t book earlier or in the middle, I book right at the last minute if I get to go then I get to go if not I find something that is left that I would like, most people don’t like to do this but each person to there own I say. Now they have been a few times when I customer has phoned up now and there cruise would be cheaper than what they paid and they want the cruise lines to match this price. so do you think cruise lines should match the price or should they stick to there guns and not move on the prices? I believe if cruise lines do it everywhere should do it, as if you had just been to buy a new TV and a week later the price went down would you go back into the shop and get them to reduce the cost and give you some money back no this doesn’t happen so why should cruise lines do it? I know many people will say they haven’t even had there cruise that’s why the cruise lines should reduce it but you book early for a reason to get the cabin you want, to get the meal sitting you want, to get the best price.

What are your thoughts do you book early? do you think the cruise lines should give you the reduced price if they bring the cruise down at a later date? I would love to hear your thoughts.
