Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean strike again!!! if you read my blog last week I talked about cruise lines changing itineraries which is bad enough. But when they cancel sailings when customers have had their cruises booked for many months is horrible and it’s even worse as we have to be the ones that tell them.

Royal Caribbean planned and were selling the Anthem of the seas and the independence of the seas out of Southampton for 2020. This was amazing news two fantastic ships going from the UK. customers who have been on the independence love her so it was even better than Royal was also bringing the Anthem over to sail from the UK. Customer’s now had two amazing ships to go on.

But Royal Caribbean announced last week that they were going to cancel the independence of the seas and send her over to America so that she could go to there private island perfect Day Cococay Island. This left many customers very upset and I don’t blame them. They’d had this cruise booked for months and for Royal Caribbean just to cancel it wasn’t right.

Many of my customers when they booked had the Free Deluxe drinks package included but now with only the Anthem left and no offers on there cruise’s many customers weren’t happy. Yes, they were getting 25% of the cruise fare back but the prices were a lot more expensive than when they originally booked so customers weren’t getting anything back.

A few days after being told about the cancellation Royal Caribbean decided to add the drinks back on for bookings made up to the 31/05/19 I think the backlash that they got was due to them changing this. I managed to get my customer’s booked on another cruise on the Anthem which made them happy.

Were you one of the customer’s affected on this? if so let me know what you thought of it?
