My Holiday to Goa Part 1

As you’ll be reading this I will be in sunny Goa this is the third time I’ve been to goa. My first time here was over 15 years ago and then I went last year. Things over there had really changed as you can imagine many of you will know who I speak to that my mum and dad go over for 6 months of the year and they love it. I really don’t blame then why would you want to stay here in the winter months and it is freezing when you can go away somewhere hot.

I love it in Goa the people are so nice they can do enough for you and the food is lovely. when you go to places like this it is a culture shock and I still got get my head around that as your walking down the street or laying on the beach relaxing cows just walk pass you (well some do) the cows over there and not very nice as you have to be so careful with them. Last year I saw a Lady just talking to someone and the cow went up to her and get his head and really hit her with it. It wasn’t very nice to see, my mum told me that once another lady was stood on the beach and the cow went up to her flew her in the air there really not nice these cows and the lady was in a really bad way and had to go to the hospital (maybe they don’t like women)

The other thing I really hated seeing over there was at night the women were sat on the pavements begging but the worst of it was they had their babies and young children with them, they would sit there for hours, the children would be fast asleep or just sat there.

The one thing I didn’t see and I asked my mum about it, is that you never heard or saw the babies crying my mum and dad told me they drug the children and babies to keep them quiet.  This broke my heart especially as I have a young child. I always wanted to give them some money but my mum and dad told me not to as all they do with it, is give it to there husbands who are sat in the pub and the husbands drink away the money. So I really don’t know if they are really poor or if they have to do it because of there husbands.
