My Favourite time of the year

It’s coming up to my favourite time of the year Christmas, I love Christmas I think its so magical and nice and I love it even more if it snows.

I love putting up my Christmas tree, decorating the house and watching Christmas movies with a hot chocolate when its cold outside, but the most wonderful thing about it is seeing my daughters face on Christmas day when Santa has been. every year since she’s been born we’ve said that we weren’t buying her a lot and every year it gets more and more, I know I go overboard with the presents and I think the reason I do this is because I buy them early as we always have a holiday before Christmas so I never realise what I’ve bought until i have to wrap them and then it takes my hours.

One of the reasons we like to go away in winter as its always so cold at home and my partner says why go away when it’s nice here when we can go away when its cold, so for the last 5 years we’ve always had a winter holiday. This year we’re going back to Goa (India) for 3 weeks we leave on Friday 23/11/18 and were not back till the 16/12/18. My mum and dad go over for 6 months of the year so it’s nice to go and see them plus the weather is excellent and it’s really cheap once your there.

Goa is a beautiful country and the people are really nice and friendly but what puts many off travelling to India is the Indian visa’s these are the easiest of visa’s to get and they’re not cheap we’ve just paid £83 per person for our visa’s  but its so worth getting them just to go to this beautiful place.

Cruise lines don’t make it easy either or we could say India doesn’t make it easy, as some people will tell you, you have to get a full Indian visa which is roughly around £120pp and some people will tell you, you can get an e-visa as I have which are quite simple to do. I do believe countries need to make it more easy for people to get visa’s and stop with having different rules for different entry’s then more people would travel to these places.
