Palma say no more tourists!

Palma say no more tourists!

Passengers on board the brand-new Symphony of the seas will be met with a demonstration as they disembark to enjoy this lovely city in Majorca!

The activists claim the big ships cause pollution, overcrowding and the staff are exploited.

Surely an island like Majorca is dependant on tourism. Should they not be happy to welcome the massive guests these ships will attract? All the money people will spend in the shops, bars and restaurants?

What do you think?

The Symphony of the seas is massive! Over 6600 guests making it the largest cruise ship in the world.

Maybe this ship is a step too far for some of the locals. The police will be ready to step in if necessary.

The brand-new Symphony of the seas is in the Mediterranean for her maiden season completing 7-night cruises from Barcelona. The cruise has been so popular. The short flight from the UK is a bonus and adding a couple of nights in Barcelona is a great option.

I am going to Palma for 2 nights at the end of this month with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We are staying in a central hotel in Palma and hope to see some sights and enjoy good food and drink in the Capital! During those 2 nights 3 days, there will be 7 cruise ships in Palma! Costa Diapema, MSC Fantasia, Marella Spirit, Symphony of the seas and 3 other German ships! 7? Wow!

I personally think this is amazing… this could be over 15,000 tourist spending money on the island. Who is going to turn this down?

Are you booked to cruise to Palma this year?

Would you like to cruise on a ship like the Symphony?

Thanks for reading!
